Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Advanced Email Security

We use cast for email content control and website filtering in emails. The product addresses spam emails as well as fraudulent emails from non-email domains. We use this package across 200 users in 7 separate sites on the business network.

Pros

  • Content filtering.
  • Anti-spam.
  • Emails from false domains.

Cons

  • Filtering of website links in emails.
  • Email tracking.
  • Increased email security.
  • Less external attacks.
It works well; however, the tracking interface is tricky, and web link filtering override is very difficult to find and use.
Yes, we moved from Azure p1.
Yes, it meets our needs and provides higher security than Azure p1.

Microsoft Azure p2 seems like a strong competitor to Mimecast, and in many instances, does needing a separate anti-spam solution from the built-in Office 365 seem necessary? I would say no. However, the product does work well.
