Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Cloud Archive

We use Mimecast Cloud Archive to archive historical emails. Users can search for and recover old or deleted emails. We also us Mimecast Cloud Archive to perform case reviews for legal searches.

Pros

  • Search of historical emails
  • Integration with Outlook
  • Creation of cases for legal review

Cons

  • Support during implementation was minimal
  • Process to copy archived email to Mimecast Cloud Archive was difficult
  • Allowed us to move off older on-premise hardware
  • Unlimited Cloud storage allows room for growth without expanding costs.
Setting up case reviews is difficult and not user friendly. The Mimecast Cloud Archive for Outlook add-on works well and is easy to use.
Logging in to the Mimecast Cloud Archive portal can be problematic at times. Once logged in, the response time is good.
Outages are infrequent and overall availability is high.

This is a good solution if you have time for the migration of data from existing platforms. Sync'ing new email was simple but copying historical data took months to complete.
