Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Mimecast Cloud Archive is our archive solution for all our email and has been for years. We have unlimited archiving with Mimecast Cloud Archive and regularly refer back to emails that are months or even years old. This solution is fairly easy to use, but can still take a bit to get used to.

easy searching of archives
easy retrieval or archives

Cons

searching for emails across mailboxes and making them easily accessible for others can be challenging

Return on Investment

The cost has gone up every year and it is becoming challenging to justify with all the updates Microsoft has made to their solution.

Usability

It is pretty easy to use once you get used to the interface. They have made changes over the years to make it easier to find things.

Performance

No major issues with performance. Always could be better, but no concerns or issues.

Reliability and Availability

In my opinion, way more reliable than Microsoft. We have used it for over 10 years and I can only think of one time that they had an outage that had any real impact on us.

Likelihood to Recommend

Mimecast Cloud Archive is great for archiving once it is setup and configured. It can take some time to get it setup properly, but once that is done, we have had very few issues. I think Support has probably gone downhill a bit, but still way better than many other companies that are out there.
