Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

We use the product to track all financial activities in the nonprofit. We use accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger package. We track our grants in Abila and have created financial statement reporting for our Board in Abilia. We use Abilia to prepare reporting for all our programs and cost centers. We recently moved to the cloud and purchased the budget module.

MIP Fund Accounting is excellent for reporting out by cost center, grants, and program reporting. This provides time for the team to analyze the data and review the results with the appropriate program and or cost center personnel. The data is used to make informed programmatic decisions and as a basis for determining future programmatic direction and or adjustments.
Abila has all the features required for a state of art nonprofit accounting system. It has robust controls, reporting, multiple report writing capabilities, many modules, ability to upload data and integrate it into the system. Abila allows you to report on grants by the date of the grant award regardless of your company year-end and makes it easy to create the reporting required for outside agencies.

Abilia works extremely well in grant accounting, cost center, and program reporting. Abilia is easy to drill down into the detail supporting individual accounts in a particular cost center or program. Abilia has good functionality in creating a billing system to easily prepare monthly tuition bills for individual school districts. Abilia also has robust fund accounting built into its financial system.
