Overall Satisfaction with Motive

I use Motive for telematics, including tracking, dashcams and safety functionality, maintenance alerts, hours of service, and driver scoring. It keeps us legal when operating the semi-trucks and provides real-time alerts when maintenance or safety-related issues are found.

  • Pre and post trip inspection requirements and workflow.
  • Video-based training can be used within the app to enhance driver performance.
  • Positive return on investment via lower safety incidents and less accidents.
  • Improved insight into driver behaviors.
  • Better safety, training, and maintenance data and maintenance alerts from the dashcams and gateway device will improve the fleet's overall performance.
Even after using the product for multiple years, Motive continues to have follow-up calls with us to ensure we are taking full advantage of the functionality offered, to show us new tools and modules that are being released, and to help solve any issues or troubleshooting that may be required.
It has improved our efficiency and given us a real-time sense of what is impacting our fleet positively and negatively, so we can take action immediately and be proactive in how we operate.
No errors or outages have been experienced at this time.
Geotab is purchased through a reseller, which can limit our ability to customize the tool and have the functionality we require. Pricing is similar. Motive offers dashcams that have better overall functionality and integration with accessories.

Motive is well suited to provide compliance with DOT regulations related to hours of service. Motive provides excellent safety data and alerts when a driver has a harsh braking event, speeding, fast acceleration, harsh cornering, etc. Lastly, the maintenance alerts are immediate and detailed so we can proactively fix the vehicles before the problem becomes more extensive.
