Overall Satisfaction with MySQL
MySQL is used as a data repository for all our online, batch, and reporting needs.
- Easy to use.
- Lots of resources online.
- Technical support is very accessible and they respond quickly.
- More SQL analytic functions.
- Fully support ANSI standard features.
- Negative impact is that MySQL does not support Analytics. We have to transfer/replicate data to another DB to be able to do Analytics or use Analytics applications.
- The positive impact is that it's cheap/affordable.
Oracle has tons of SQL features that others do not have (e.g. bulk processing), and the price is good.
