NextGen Enterprise EHR
Overall Satisfaction with NextGen Healthcare EHR
Our entire clinic runs on NextGen Healthcare EHR. Business office, nurse and physician documentation, infusion documentation, patient portal, analytics. We have 12 specialty physicians in our practice who use this software on a daily basis. We use several plugins such as Luma, Instamed, NextGen Share, and we have interfaces between NextGen and our lab and radiology software.
Pros
- Templates and documents are pretty easy to customize to meet our needs
- Pre-visit insurance verification
Cons
- PXP patient portal has been very buggy with a lot of downtime
- Reporting tools can't always pull the data we're looking for
- Support can be slow to respond at times.
- Copy forward and my phrases save the doctors and staff a lot of time
- Background business processor allows us to automate tasks
- Real time eligibility checking saves us time checking insurance coverage.
One of our providers has been using NextGen Mobile with ambient assist to help document his office visits. He finds that it helps him keep track of key points of the patient interview. This in turn lets him focus his attention more on the patient and saves him quite a bit of time finishing up his final chart notes.
