Overall Satisfaction with Okta

Being in a SaaS organisation, it is critical to have a safe and secure Access Management solution. Okta successfully achieves the goal of securely managing authorizations and authentication across applications. It also tracks employees working outside the designated work location using multifactor authentication.

Pros

  • Single sign on for the applications in the organization.
  • Captures the audit trail for reporting.
  • Reduced IT overhead via automation.

Cons

  • Lack of multiple app integration due to complex workflow.
  • Documentation on how to use the platform at its best.
  • Costs increase quickly as the organization expands.
  • Generally saves 1 hour for the various teams, effectively logging in to every application as Okta provides SSO.
  • Password management is easier and owned by the user with multiple timely reminders.
  • Saved time due to role-wise access creation with only limited application to various team members.
It has improved consistency in security policies, allowing us to enforce MFA, device trust, and conditional access uniformly, regardless of where the applications are hosted. This acts as a single control panel for accessing various tools, such as Salesforce, Oracle, Open Air, etc., rather than managing access for each application separately.
We have never needed one.
This is very true, and Okta has been the most reliable source of truth for accessing the other Diligent applications for various users across various teams. This has not only increased productivity, as I mentioned earlier, but has also helped the IT services team manage access to all applications.
This has been very user-friendly and fast to authenticate, whereas Citrix used to take a lot of time.

Should be well-suited for a SaaS business organisation as they have a lot of internal applications and need a role-based authentication system between the various teams, improving security and audit log system to account for any breaches. It integrates well with internal applications such as Salesforce and Oracle. Best when need of SSO.
