Pros
- SSO - It provides Single Sign on that leaves the worry of authentical and authorization implementation from Dev to Okta
- MFA - Google Auth based , SMS based and Email based MFA
- Offboarding and Onboarding devs and team members
- Tools catalog on one page so that devs dont have to go to multiple places
Cons
- Okta is a Single Point of Failure. If Okta goes down , all portals goes down. So there should be some sort of last cached data setup
- Initial config might be difficult for some organizations so you need dedicated support
- Reporting tools are a bit messy
- Speed of Deployment
- Automation of IT workflows
- Employee onboarding and Off boarding

Even this is used for our customers to access all Nielsen tools they have access to.

Yes it has. Our software is used across all timezones by millions of users. Okta provides SSO and auth mechanism and its 99.99% uptime helps us worry less on a downtime from SSO perspective. We havent faced any issues in last 1+ year and it has worked well for us

Ping is a hybrid Identity management too ie it works on cloud and on prem both. As majority of our servers are on cloud, we chose Okta
Ping was providing WLP solutions and again this was not something we needed at that time so Okta was our choice. Plus the terms of contract were beneficial for Nielsen
