Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

This has been used for collaborating, computing, data organizing, and instant retrieval. It solved problems such as addressing costs, security, and reliability. We were able to reduce our hardware storage costs with the initial outlay of the software program. This also addressed safety as we no longer needed to maintain on site systems.
We have a small office with employees in various locations so data was always accessible.
  • It does extend our business services on various platforms
  • Security has been improved for our product development.
  • Programs can also be run in the cloud making our traveling employees more productive.
  • Small businesses often find the complexities burdensome.
  • Security is high but if a breach occurs there is a lack of back up controls.
  • Training can be improved as it offers a once over to IT. This leads to further review to users.
  • We saved, as the payback period was about 18 months
  • There was also some additional savings by using their security features. Although we did find these available with most vendors.
  • This did increase our efficiencies to the point of reducing office expense.
Oracle continued to focus on larger scale and growth business. We found Microsoft allowed to use as little as needed.

Would you buy Oracle Cloud Infrastructure again?

No

We are a business in financial services with 5 employees. Each can work from remote locations, When we used Oracle Cloud several years ago functionality, cost, security, data sharing, were all well provided. These did include standard training and start-up costs. Our business grew as well as our efficiencies. Oracle added services that were not as relevant to our needs. A larger sales force could have justified continuing but we did opt for a change.
