Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with EBS
Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is used across our organization to host our IAAS and PAAS resources and hence reduce the footprint of physical servers. Scalability and the speed of provisioning resources was an issue before but are no longer a problem with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Pros
- Ease of scalability
- Ease of resource provisioning
Cons
- When initially launched, the solution was not compatible with EBS.
- Integration with other tools such as WAF/IDCS is not straightforward.
- Reduce the footprint of physical servers in our corporate headquarters which is aligned with the corporate strategy
- OS for PAAS is managed by Oracle and therefore we save on maintenance cost.
