Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Eloqua

We use it for email and SMS deployment. It is used by marcomm team, to share information both internally and externally. Overall, it helps us with our marketing initiatives. There is a chance that we may widen usage of the tool, to include sales staff some point in the near future.
  • Offers plenty of options in the platform.
  • The campaign canvas is the best part - love the drag and drop options.
  • Oracle seems to be adding and upgrading functionality frequently.
  • Oracle Support is dreadful for the Eloqua product. Need to dramatically improve support or risk losing customers.
  • Product seems to be getting buggy - lots of random problems.
  • Need more a/b testing and multi variate testing options.
Oracle offers plenty of ways to scale up Eloqua and its marketing cloud. Buy different add ons, work with third party companies, custom develop pieces with your IT staff. The sky is the limit if you have the resources to support it.
  • Eloqua helps our bottom line through the many campaigns we push to help our sales cycle.
  • Through our mergers, we are able to combine into one instance and save money on tools.
  • The tool overall seems to be pretty expensive, so there is always concern on it being overpriced.
Eloqua is the true enterprise class tool compared to smaller organizations like HubSpot. We need a tool that can be approved by out stakeholders in IT, compliance etc. so the Oracle organization best suits our needs. Pardot and Marketo are always an option for the future, and many people do push for those tools so Eloqua needs to stay as competitive as possible.
If a company needs an enterprise class marketing automation tool - with options to integrate with different databases etc. Eloqua is likely a solid option. If a company simply wants an email marketing tool, Eloqua is vastly overpowered and overpriced. No need to buy a race car if all you need to do is a daily commute.
