Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Eloqua
My department uses Eloqua to test new programs, promote our events, engage our customers, and support our sales reps. We also use it as a demo environment and testing environment for some of our clients. In this way we are using it for two lines of business within our company. Both the direct marketing and the consulting side. It must both run complex tests and iterations as well as our marketing programs. We have our users set up with restrictions based on their roles and line of business, which allows us to maintain the dual use.
Pros
- I think the data structure is very robust and it allows us to maintain a flexible data structure as well as get a full understanding of our customers and prospects while segmenting at a deep level
- The reporting has been getting deeper and allows me to get both high level reports and very drilled down reports for executives
- Dashboards allow me to be flexible and create custom reports for my team and for company distribution
- Programs let me run robust data programs as well as trigger actions within Eloqua.
Cons
- An area for improvement would be Oracle Support can be difficult at times. You need to be precise and know the source and cause of your issue as well as stay on top of your issues.
- Attachment coming in to forms is not native so it requires custom configuration or work with your developer. This may not be an issue for all and is not a dealbreaker, but is something to keep in mind.
- One area I would like to see improved is the social integration and the youtube video embed function.
- We are able to use it to help our clients scale through testing
- We have been able to measure the impact of our events and sales events so we can determine which events to continue in the future and determine future investment
- Launch a new brand out of Eloqua and measure awareness
Salesforce does not have a search function which can be quite frustating to find your emails and find past insights on campaigns when you do not have a perfect naming structure.
