Overall Satisfaction with Oracle HCM Cloud

Oracle HCM is currently being used across our organization as an all in one HR system. Previously, our teams were using Excel functions for many aspects of the HR day to day. With this tool, we are making it easier for our employees to use Oracle HCM Cloud to perform performance plans, create employee targets, use a learning and development system, review benefits, and salary information. It is an overall HR solution for our entire business. This has addressed the problem of many HR functions and we are now able to streamline all of our processes and operations into one platform which is more cost effective as well.

Pros

  • Custom reporting tools which allow our managers to use the data to make important business decisions.
  • Payroll is submitted on time and accurately sent to all parties involved prior to review.
  • One stop shop for all our Human Capital Management needs which makes it a cost-effective tool as opposed to using multiple software for all HR functions.

Cons

  • Customizing reporting and layouts are tricky and there are a lot of things you can't change from the original software which could be improved.
  • More training for new customers as we have to train entirely on our own, currently.
  • Mobile functionality so that we can utilize certain features on the go or in outside office locations.
  • The reporting capabilities are stable and excellent and we use this reporting to draft future projections and analytics for real estate models.
  • Allowed for integration with our applicant tracking system so we are able to work cross-functionally on talent needs.
  • Seamless integration with other systems to download and share analytics.
Oracle HCM has proven to be the best fit for our business needs. When looking into other software such as MongoDB and Tibero, our team found that Oracle had the most seamless capabilities with certain software we already were utilizing. This would make it a seamless transition into this one platform for our teams and business. For example, Taleo is able to seamlessly integrate with Oracle. This was extremely cost-effective and a huge plus in choosing this software over others. Additionally, Oracle allowed for the most customization of reporting functions which was a huge selling point for our business partners in that they would be able to view analytics in real time and customize reports which we weren't able to do before.
Oracle HCM Cloud has proved especially useful to our talent management and recruitment teams. For example, it allows our teams to build up a talent projection and reporting from raw data. This raw data, in turn, becomes functional charts so that managers and executive management can easily view the talent functions and the projections for future projects/strategy. I think this might be less suited for an organization with many outside clients as the customer service has not been great in regards to training and answering questions as they come up for our teams.
