Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Java SE Subscription

Our organization is currently moving to a lot of open-source technologies, and contributing back to the community. Oracle Java SE Subscription is the first open-source technology to be used and implemented across the organization. It enabled us to use existing tools/libraries to reach our goals faster. The help from the open-source community has been phenomenal. It changed how we approach an issue--reuse vs. implement!

  • Java is one of the most widely-used languages, so it's easier to switch to that.

Oracle Java SE Subscription provides tough competition to Microsoft's .NET Framework. While both are extremely powerful, Oracle Java SE Subscription has an easier setup, more open-source community support, and a wide range of IDEs, some of which are lightweight when it comes to memory/CPU consumption. That made Oracle Java SE Subscription the obvious choice.
I never really had any issues, which says a lot about the stability of the product itself.

Oracle Java SE Subscription is suitable for scalable/high-performing applications. There are tons of existing libraries, which are customizable, so one never really has to implement everything from scratch--just reuse/build on top of what's available. Community support is wonderful.
