Overall Satisfaction

  • Pardot performs adequately as an auto-responder.
  • It integrates with Salesforce. This is important in any B to B environment. Lead tracking is essential.
  • Pardot is a low cost entry point into Marketing automation.
  • They need a better service structure and team. Very often it took many days to get an adequate answer to service problems, especially during set up.
  • The logic is poor. For example, often we would want to guide and respond to the email "conversation" In order to accomplish this we needed multiple if-then-else type logic. This was not available in Pardot
  • Filled a void. We needed integration with Salesforce
There are superior products on the market. Eloqua and Marketo for example....both platforms have a more comprehensive service to get you up and running. Pardot provided very little help in this respect.
My advice is to avoid Pardot. There are too many technical limitations. No it needed more if/then logic within campaigns to be truly flexible in marketing automation
