Overall Satisfaction with Pardot Marketing Automation

  • Full integration with Salesforce.com
  • Great business intelligence via website visitor & prospect tracking
  • Single monthly cost no matter how many users you have / want to add
  • Their support team is very responsive
  • Enhancements are released regularly into production
  • All cloud based
  • Lots of connectors to other systems such as GoToMeeting etc
  • Marketing automation
  • The html layout editor has historically been an issue but am hoping the new editor helps in this regard.
  • Recently wanted to update user profiles based on different security/access settings but they are wanting to charge us extra for this pleasure?
  • When cloning leads/contacts in Salesforce by default all the Pardot information is duplicated & causes issues. Should have something on the Pardot side to recognize this & update them when the next sync.
  • More in depth & intuitive reporting functionality. Would be great if the reporting could be more like Salesforce's reporting ability where you can create reports & dashboards with any of the fields on any object.
  • Better insight for our sales guys into how engaged prospects are.
  • Sales team is able to prioritize which leads they focus on due to scoring & grading.
  • Nurturing campaigns have helped with re-engaging with prospects. Increased sales.
  • Improved professionalism & speed with mass emails & the ability to email large numbers of propsects.
Thinking back to our initial implementation, TJ Gephart was great & with a combination of using Basecamp & the Pardot help resources we managed to get everything up & running very quickly. Depending on your CRM it's definitely worth spending some time documenting how exactly you want each (Pardot v CRM) to deal with prospects/leads/contacts taking into account owner/queue assignment, syncing, when leads are converted, should email blasts be done via Pardot v CRM etc. Free trial available?

Using Pardot Marketing Automation

We recently did renew our annual contract based on a number of factors (some listed below):
  1. Competitive pricing
  2. We use Salesforce.com extensively - so now that Pardot is a SFDC company this all fits in very nicely with our technology/solution stack
  3. Intuitive interface especially for setting up automation rules
  4. They have ramped up their enhancements & speed of release
  5. Quick support / friendly account execs
  6. Gives us an extended website where we can easily create similar looking pages, forms etc
