Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex
We are a small company and use it only for payroll. It is reliable and quick. Rarely requires any support. I can run reports and pay our staff with ease.

Positively - I can easily download tax reports for our accountant. With only 2 employees there isn't a lot of reporting but I do see that many more reports than what we use are available.
We started with Paychex on advice of our accountant and have never tried or searched another service.

Evaluating Paychex Flex and Competitors

We chose this product on the advice of our accountant. We are NOT HR or accounting specialists and don't have time to learn. For the ease of use and minimal monthly charge we feel safe in assuming our taxes are being handled and we are getting paid. Things may be different for companies with a lot of employees but for us on a normal pay date it takes exactly 5 minutes to do our payroll.

We did not. In our case it wasn't needed but seems like a good product.
We used their support to set up contractor pay (1099s). As I said before the ease of use means we don't need a lot of support. Nothing has gone wrong and if we do call it is generally because we can't figure out how to handle an issue. The support folks often just need to send us the link to the online how to.
