Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

Upon the recommendation of my accountant, I subscribed to Paychex Flex for my company's payroll needs. I rely on the software for automatic payroll distribution as well as for payment of my payroll taxes. I also oversee the tax information for the users to ensure that withholdings, dependents, etc., are appropriate.

Pros

  • Timely quarterly reviews
  • Multiple payroll reminders before the end of the pay period
  • Account manager checkins

Cons

  • Promotions are more frequent than I would prefer
  • Save on time and effort
  • Employee independence in self-service
  • Easy to read dashboard
Positively - I use the quarterly reports in my bookkeepings.
I had an issue with withholdings and I was able to receive quick attention and my matter was resolved to my satisfaction.

I have no experience with payroll software or payroll in general, and I find the software to be very user friendly.
In my experience, Paychex Flex is well suited for small companies and is reasonably priced so as to not disrupt overall overhead expenses. Paychex Flex is also great for a company without a designated payroll department as it is user friendly enough to be managed and used by individuals without any payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping experience.
