Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

We use Paychex Flex for our bi-weekly payroll and 401k management

Pros

  • Easy to use

Cons

  • In my experience, lately the service has become unprofessional and lots of mistakes have been made.
  • I think Paychex Flex seems to be cutting staff and customer service is suffering.
  • Calling in Payroll has been eliminated and payroll is submitted via an email. In our experience, errors are easily made since there is no quality check (totals comparison).
  • Our PR specialist made a large error on a recent payroll and it cost us several overdraft fees and time. In my opinion, they did not handle the error well. I think [...] was particularly unsympathetic in her customer service approach.
I have not used the reporting - We use the PR journal, time accruals/balance report
For us, very bad recent experience. Prior to that I would have given a 9 or 10. We will likely be looking to switch to ADP. In my opinion, Paychex Flex is very expensive compared to other services

Easy to use
In my opinion, system lacks quality control systems. More and more errors are happening for us. I think the cost of the service compared to other payroll service providers is very high.
