Overall Satisfaction with PayPal Here

Paypal Here is super useful for a solo business owner like myself. I have the Bluetooth device that connects very easily to my Stylo 4 and Galaxy s8+ business phones. It has both the chip and card reader so I can take payments during consultations with ease. Everything else is handled through the app which pretty much acts like the normal PayPal app. Money is available fairly quickly after the transaction is complete.

Pros

  • Accepts both chip and swipe functions with most readers.
  • Funds available quickly.
  • Multiple integrations.

Cons

  • Improved battery capacity with each new release.
  • More integrations for the PayPal app.
  • Having a PayPal Here device ready makes you look professional.
  • Older customers trust the PayPal name over lesser-known alternatives.
  • Good investment as it pairs well with my Android devices.
I received my Square reader faster and it does its job well but, but the reader itself is small and very easy to lose. Unlike PayPal, I had to create a new account that would only be used for that single purpose. PayPal Here is an extension of PayPal so set-up was flawless and my information was already there for my business.
Support hasn't been needed in the 2 years of using PayPal but I have received calls from the company in the past asking about my experience with the device that was sent to me and they were pretty helpful with advice. Support is all over the internet if needed but for emergencies, so it is best to contact them during business hours.

Salesflare, Salesforce Lightning Platform (formerly Salesforce App Cloud)
Local clients like my barber shop clients or any small business who hires my agency love having a quick pay option available rather than hearing "send me an invoice". I love that the device fits inside my pocket so easily and actually holds a steady charge but it should be charged before each planned use. Setting it up took an entire 5 minutes or less to get it "swipe-ready".
