Overall Satisfaction with PayPal Payments
PayPal Payments is being used to be able to accept payments online through our website. It is being used by the whole organization, though only some of our team works within this and has dealt with PayPal Payments. It solves the problem of taking payments online.
Pros
- Simple interface.
- Everyone is familiar with paypal and usually has an account.
- They accept payments in a lot of industries where others will not.
Cons
- PayPal Payments could take down the transaction fee as it is pretty high.
- They charge a lot to be able to transfer currency, etc.
- Paypal protection can screw the seller.
- Lets us collect money online
- Can convert money so we can receive from other countries
- Is super easy to set up
- Has allowed us to collect money so definitely a positive ROI.
- Fees are definitely high, especially when conversion rates are involved.
- Makes buying and selling easier online = more sales.
We use Authorize.Net on one of our other websites as the payment processor. It is good too but definitely took a while to integrate because of some issues. PayPal Payments was much easier.
