Overall Satisfaction with PHPRunner
I built an online app for a customer. I used SuiteCRM as the core of the project. It works well, and the customer is satisfied. But the initial install cost and annual cost due to several paid extensions got me considering a custom app for the customer's specific needs. I have the potential of another 40 clients if I get the cost down. I am not a programmer. So I decided to review some visual code generators. I reviewed 5 PHP code generators, installing and trying 4 of them and purchasing one (it was so cheap). Without much learning, I was able to build a skeleton of my app with PHPRunner. I didn't even get close with the other products. PHPRunner is the most expensive, but then again, it just seems to work. I have started down the path to learn and build. If you want an in-depth review, I can't give it now. At first impression, PHPRunner appears to be a winner. I do expect to contract with an experienced PHPRunner developer for collaboration once I get a bit of knowledge. The Forum appears to be accepting of new users.
- Simple connection to MySQL tables
- Integrated SMS functions
- Visual app building for us non-programmers
- Fast creation of a web interface for database data
- SMS integration
- Visual development
- No code - low code development
- Rapid app development
- Once the app is developed, it is mine. No royalties or subscription cost when I sell it
- EXPECTATION - I will have an app that is mine to license as I please, not a subscription cost
Reviewed and tried; PHPRunner, PHPMaker, PHP Generator for MySQL, scriptcase, and AppGini. My selection of PHPRunner does not imply anything negative about the listed programs. I was able to create a functioning skeleton app with PHPRunner that I was not able to create with any of the others. I did not want an online subscription-based product.
