Overall Satisfaction with PiiQ by Cornerstone

This version of PiiQ has improved the interface and it is more user friendly and more easy to learn. The problem is now the subordinates are not allowed to input their own goals and objectives. All goals are to be input by mangers. Previously, we used to have the subordinates generate and think about their goals first and input in the system, then managers review and calibrate the goals together with the subordinates.
Cornerstone gives very prompt and good support when we have some questions.
We use Cornerstone globally for annual performance reviews. We have been using PiiQ from Cornerstone for 3 years. I feel after the upgrade, PiiQ has improved the interface so it is more user friendly and can provide detailed analytical reports. The internet speed from China has been improved as well. I like it.

Pros

  • Score reports by performance and competency
  • Nice boxes position to view incumbents' potential and performance

Cons

  • So far, cannot manually input the weight of each goal. Would like the weighting of each goals have the option to be manually input
  • Option to re-define goals and process/personal improvement
  • More effective for line mangers to take the review
  • HR can easily track the review progress
  • Good for people development and succession planning
Not a problem to configure the system because we are not using this function.
Did not look at other options.
It can be used for annual performance company wide which is good. If we can use this tool to track and remind line managers to have monthly or quarterly review of their subordinates' progress and improvement, it will be better. For example, when we set the monthly goals or quarterly goals, the system can send email reminder to the manager and ask them to have the review.

With regards to the ability for employees to enter in their own goal, we now do have the Employee Goal Setting feature available for admins to turn on when creating a review cycle. To enable this feature, please see this Help Page: https://help.piiq.csod.com/docs/enable-employee-goal-setting. This will allow your employees to re-define goals and process/personal improvement without needing to go through the managers - although the managers will still have to confirm these changes for that final verification. For more information about goal setting, see below: https://help.piiq.csod.com/docs/goal-settings https://help.piiq.csod.com/docs/employee-goal-setting-overview-2 To provide an easier understanding of sub-goal weightings and how weightings impact score, PiiQ simplified this process by offering an easy-to-use graphical scale of 1 to 5 bubbles to indicate higher and lower importance of selected sub-goals instead of allowing the user to enter a free number.
