Overall Satisfaction with PitchBook

I use PitchBook to research the recent capital raises of private companies. I also use PitchBook to target potential clients and look for pitch opportunities. I find the tools to be extremely useful. Without PitchBook, I would be in the dark regarding the various service providers for each deal. I also find the exit probabilities to be very helpful when screening for potential clients.

Pros

  • Filter options
  • Ease of use
  • Research tools
  • Search functionality

Cons

  • Some of the filters could be more precise
  • Company location information isn't always accurate
  • More information on service providers
  • Significant time savings
  • Actionable intelligence
  • Streamlines strategy
PitchBook is very easy to use and if there are any issues the chat function is very helpful. We also have a sales representative that we can speak to should we need it. Everything PitchBook does is first class and I have no serious issues with the service provided by PitchBook.
I personally use PitchBook to find specific companies that match a variety of criteria. PitchBook is an excellent resource because it enables me to filter through thousands of companies to find a subset that is worth investigating further. I have found that the quality of data is generally excellent and have not had any serious issues with the data provided.
PitchBook is extremely easy to use. The filters are intuitive and there are so many that I can splice search results to narrow in on the best potential target companies. I mostly use PitchBook for its private company data and I have not found a better tool for researching companies.

PitchBook is extremely useful for developing a list of target companies. My practice focuses on late-stage companies that may be looking to pursue an initial public offering, so the various search filters are helpful when I try to find actionable targets. I also think the industry filters are helpful when searching through companies.
