Overall Satisfaction with PitchBook

In my organization, I use PitchBook to find Private Markets and Secondary date that is logged in the VC space. Throughout my time using PitchBook in various positions, I have found that it is best and most effective to always chat with a PitchBook agent to help find your needs. When creating a deck recently, I chatted with a PitchBook representative to find the dataset that pertained to a specific article that I was reading. Very quickly, I was led in the right direction and was able to complete a deeper dive in my research.

Pros

  • Customer Support
  • Providing Complex Analysis
  • Filtering Datasets

Cons

  • Speed of Delivery
  • Cap Table Updates
  • Lots of Time Saving
  • Better Informed Decisions Thanks to Analysis
  • Updated Valuation Models
I have always received very quick and easy help from PitchBook support. Whether it was to find a dataset, ask a question regarding a current space or vertical I was interested in, or even finding an article that could interest me, PitchBook support has been extremely helpful and has rarely led me in the wrong direction.
We mostly utilize PitchBook to support our claims in presentations, bolster our valuation models, and to inform and educate new investments. The quality of the data certainly holds up as mostly accurate. However, it can sometimes be slightly outdated in terms of cap tables or even a company's current address.
The usability is very solid for my workflow since I usually opt to just as a PitchBook support representative. The user interface can be a little complicated if you are simply trying to search by yourself. This is something I may just not be as good at yet, but their are many different ways to filter which makes it seems jumbled.

Do you think PitchBook delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with PitchBook's feature set?

Yes

Did PitchBook live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of PitchBook go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy PitchBook again?

Yes

PitchBook is very appropriate for building datasets to support certain claims or finding specific date on a company. This could be address, investors, cap tables, etc. I have yet to come into a scenario in my current work where I would deem PitchBook a less than appropriate source for information.
