Overall Satisfaction with PlanSwift

We use PlanSwift in our estimation department to build proposals.

  • If it had more industry specific tools. Such as for drywall, ceilings, etc.
  • PlanSwift has definitely helped our business in helping us create our proposals, so it's definitely been an asset

Planswift is best suited for a more generic environment where you need flexibility on how you want to use it. Planswift is less appropriate, where you need specific results.

Using PlanSwift

2 - The chief estimator and junior estimator use the program
1 - The chief estimator is an engineer by education and has your basic computer software skills.
  • We use planswift exclusively to do takeoffs for ceilings.
  • Mostly just area takeoffs
  • It's also been useful as a storage file for all of the plans
  • We will continue to use it as a takeoff tool
It's become the go to program for our takeoffs. We have tried others but this is the simplest.

It was the ease of use and features.
I wouldn't change anything. We made the right choice from the beginning. WE have since reviewed others and not one is better.

just know what use you want to get out of it. In our case it was just to do area take offs.

Change management was minimal - There was little to no change management. Just realized we needed better hardware.
  • The program benefits best from goo hardware. 16GB and1 TB of memory

Mostly their support came when we initially purchased the program. The customer support was very good and they followed up for any issues.

Plan Swift is a user friendly program that makes takeoffs easy to perform. Not a whole lot of knowledge or skill is required.
