Overall Satisfaction with Planview Enterprise
Planview Enterprise was originally brought in to support the efforts of the Planning and Programs Management Office within the University Technology Office. We are using it for program and project management along with resource and financial management. Over the past two years, Planview was expanded to other departments within ASU - Business & Finance (reporting to the CFO) as well as our Capital Programs Management Group which is in charge of managing all of the buildings on campus including new construction and renovation. CPMG is only using it for project management at this time, but is looking to start using it for resource management.

- Expansion of resource management. While Planview does a good job of resource management, there are still some shortcomings. It would be nice to add reservations/authorizations/allocations by groups.
- One feature we would like to see is to be able to have a portfolio of projects and be able to reserve/authorize/allocate a resource to the projects in this portfolio at one time.
- Better knowledge of the status of our projects
- Better knowledge of where our resources are spending their time
- Resource utilization/need projections
Pretty comparable in functionality but we needed a tool that could do portfolio and investment/capacity management.
