Overall Satisfaction with Pollfish

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Pollfish to generate audience insights, prioritize product claims and usage occasions, validate hypothesis, and confirm (or disconfirm) strategic recommendations. One of the key problems it solves for is speed. Our workflows are often very constrained so the ability to get a read quickly is very helpful. Moreover, a data backed approach gives us greater levels of confidence in the recommendation. Another problem is that our research methods can be messy or feel incomplete or too directional.

Pros

Very quick turnaround, able to get data for a last minute client ask
Great customer service to catch survey design snags
Ability to qualify and screen so we can ensure we're getting info from in category buyers

Cons

The biggest challenge is the quality of response - I regularly get responses that clearly show a lack of question comprehension which clearly indicate an unserious participant speeding through the poll
The UI can be a bit technical and uses technical jargon that is not always obvious
AI for analysis especially for qualitative

Return on Investment

Positive impact on brief development especially efficiency of process
Ability to validate strategic recommendations to gain trust with clients
Influences creative decision making especially occasions and RTBs

Usability

Overall works fine and after spending some hours acquainting myself with the product I feel relatively confident that I'm able to get what I need. I also have confidence that if a question or problem arises I can reach out to the chat which has always been helpful. One example where I could see improvement is an AI functionality to help parse and make sense of a large amount of data esp qual.

Alternatives Considered

Candidly did not do much testing of others luckily Pollfish has been good at getting us where we need to go. I did demo thinqsights / Meaningful but more for qualitative.

Well suited when speed and qualitative data is needed plus customization options
Reasonable pricing makes it usually (but not always) within budget
Not well suited when a client or assignment calls for very high fidelity or participant quality - I am not convinced that the people behind the data is always 100% genuine
