A secret weapon for strategy and creativity
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are starting to use Pollfish so that we can get quick answers to challenges from one of our main customers. From specific lifestyle issues of potential consumers, to being able to test possible creativity in an agile way without depending on expensive studies. This is my first time using the tool with this client so I hope they can start to see the usefulness.
Pros
- Obtain people's opinions on a specific topic, both quantitatively and qualitatively, as it has option for open answers.
- Being able to segment my audience not only by country and state, but also by city and even socioeconomic level (something that is particularly difficult outside of the United States).
- Be able to insert videos in order to make quick creativity tests.
- Obtain quick results. Most of the times in only one day, even with specific segmentations.
Cons
- I wish the way to visually organize and edit question be more easy.
- For example: the option of change a question order, or edit type of question, is not so intuitive
- l'like to have the option to change visualization in the data charts. ~
- Example: changing bar graph for pie chart.
- I had some trouble with the language of one survey. The interface asked me for answer options in Spanish but all the interface was in English. I wish it could be a little bit easier to change interface language so it matches with the survey language.
Return on Investment
- In our most recent use, we demonstrated to our client that testing a creative was possible for a fraction of what it would have cost with another provider. In the end we paid around 200 dollars when another vendor would have taken longer to give results and would have cost at least 4000 dollars.
- On another occasion, while I worked in another organization, we managed to consolidate a new business area of the company, based on creating consumer studies in record time. There, Pollfish helped create new revenue for the company rather than an expense.
- Another way it can help meet objectives is by replacing expensive external specialized studies with in-house studies, where the people in the company themselves can learn how to use the tool.
