A secret weapon for strategy and creativity

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are starting to use Pollfish so that we can get quick answers to challenges from one of our main customers. From specific lifestyle issues of potential consumers, to being able to test possible creativity in an agile way without depending on expensive studies. This is my first time using the tool with this client so I hope they can start to see the usefulness.

Pros

  • Obtain people's opinions on a specific topic, both quantitatively and qualitatively, as it has option for open answers.
  • Being able to segment my audience not only by country and state, but also by city and even socioeconomic level (something that is particularly difficult outside of the United States).
  • Be able to insert videos in order to make quick creativity tests.
  • Obtain quick results. Most of the times in only one day, even with specific segmentations.

Cons

  • I wish the way to visually organize and edit question be more easy.
  • For example: the option of change a question order, or edit type of question, is not so intuitive
  • l'like to have the option to change visualization in the data charts. ~
  • Example: changing bar graph for pie chart.
  • I had some trouble with the language of one survey. The interface asked me for answer options in Spanish but all the interface was in English. I wish it could be a little bit easier to change interface language so it matches with the survey language.

Return on Investment

  • In our most recent use, we demonstrated to our client that testing a creative was possible for a fraction of what it would have cost with another provider. In the end we paid around 200 dollars when another vendor would have taken longer to give results and would have cost at least 4000 dollars.
  • On another occasion, while I worked in another organization, we managed to consolidate a new business area of the company, based on creating consumer studies in record time. There, Pollfish helped create new revenue for the company rather than an expense.
  • Another way it can help meet objectives is by replacing expensive external specialized studies with in-house studies, where the people in the company themselves can learn how to use the tool.

Pollfish is a Growth-Minded Partner

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Pollfish is our primary online data collection vendor. We partner with them to run about 80-90% of our data collection overall. We initially started using them as a way to quickly collect anonymous data in specific geographic areas for political clients, but that has evolved into a deeper partnership that includes their maintenance of a panel that is linked back to a national data file that allows us to connect survey responses to individualized data points for both political and consumer variables. Our organization is also now in the entertainment space, and Pollfish/Prodege has allowed us to run monthly tracking surveys with minimal maintenance on our end, and allows us to run A/B tests with features that ensure our clients continue trusting us, like screencap prevention software and data quality checks.

Pros

  • client management and communication
  • feature development and partnering to improve the platform
  • incentives to deepen the partnership, such as a higher % discount with a larger annual contract

Cons

  • project management quality since they outsource labor
  • advanced survey programming features, such as javascript etc.
  • transparency into the sampling features/process

Return on Investment

  • Has allowed us to expand into different business verticals
  • Has allowed us to expand our matched-back data offerings
  • Has allowed us to develop internal data offerings we can sell "off the shelf" for minimized acquisition cost

This is your unfair advantage

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've used Pollfish for different projects but most recently we've been using it to send out a quarterly brand report. It gives us a really good insight how many people in our audience actually know about us, and what they know about us. We use it for the entire brand funnel measurement: from awareness to brand associations, to consideration.

Pros

  • Easily connect you with your audience, without you having to find them/ do ads
  • It's so incredibly quick, you can meet any last-minute deadline
  • I love the AI suggestions and how it helps you create a good survey, and the check on it as well

Cons

  • If you want to filter on health issues specifically, you have the option to choose from A-K or something and then L-Z. I want a combination of health issues and it seems weird to pay double simply because it starts with a different level (you can pick as many as you want in A-K without paying extra)
  • If you click on preview, you have to click through all the questions. Sometimes I just want to check out question 10.

Return on Investment

  • We've measured hard brand health numbers: (un)aided awareness percentage, consideration etc.
  • We can measure this over time and therefore we know whether we're improving
  • We also measure associations and therefore can start specific campaigns targeted towards brand associations and measure them afterwards

Usability

Couldnt ask for a tool better than Pollfish

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a PR/marketing agency, and we use Pollfish to conduct surveys for clients that we use in digital PR and marketing campaigns.

Pros

  • Pollfish is very intuitive to use. If you understand how survey questions and answer options are structured, building the surveys themselves is pretty simple.
  • When you do run into problems, the customer service through the chat agent on the site is second to none. They are always very responsive and have answered any question I've ever had very quickly and very clearly.
  • Pollfish automatically can break you data down into several interesting subcategories. But it's also very easy to break your pool down into one that's very custom, and that's something that other survey companies charge quite a bit for.

Cons

  • My biggest complaint is that the data visualztion tools, last time I used them were lacking.

Return on Investment

  • Pollfish has allowed us to create an offering that we've knew we needed but has been just out of reach. It's not now, and because of Pollfish, we have been able to land new business, better serve existing customers, and grow the agence.

Wonderful Tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a real estate development company, we were looking to get insight on several new name concepts for the new development we are starting to construct. we used the service to help us get unbiased opinions on over 20 names, narrowing down to 6 and then in a second survey, determining emotional resonance with the 6 to get it down to a clear winner.

Pros

  • makes the poll creation step easy
  • segments out audiences for you easily
  • provides fast results

Cons

  • sometimes SAAS are too robust, this may be one of them
  • i think a little easier of a user interface would help

Return on Investment

  • No hard numbers to provide yet
  • but it gave us an overwhelming approval rate for one of the names we had not even considered as a top contender
  • in the future we will use this to determine how to communicate with our varying target markets
