Overall Satisfaction with PowerDMS
PowerDMS is our Policy, Orders and Training document management system. It is used by all members of our agency for Policy and Order disbursement and accountability. A large part of our in-service training is also done on PowerDMS. All outside training records are now entered into PowerDMS as a management tool to track and record training. The system has easy to use reports that make Accreditation proofs easy to retrieve when needed.
- Easy to use training format that makes posting training courses a breeze. Built in grading features makes assessing performance simple.
- Easy to use document creation interface.
- Easy to use, when a document must be edited or re-issued with revisions.
- Easy access to user reports.
- Formatting issues when trying to create a test.
- When posting a course for training, user that click on a link within the course have to scroll back to were they left off. Minor thing but its feedback that I get.
- An automated numbering system to documents and training would be a bonus
- The biggest positive impact is 100% accountability. For a department that never had an automated Document Management System, I don't know how we operated without one before.
- The only negative impact is 100% accountability, LOL. When someone is now held to task, they don't like the fact that with the click of the mouse you can show them, they know how we want it done.
There really weren't any other options for our agency. When we asked other agencies, who the recommended, PowerDMS was the only answer.
