Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Proconnect Tax Online for the preparation of tax returns. I do not use it for all returns. However, I use it for some returns based upon the forms required. I primarily use it for business returns and sometimes for an individual return if they need forms not offered by my primary tax software.

Pros

Proconnect Tax Online is linked to Quickbooks.
It is online and does not need to be downloaded onto a computer.

Cons

The software is not set up like other tax software for a tax professional.
Not user friendly.

Prices are cheaper than other software
Useful for certain returns.

Alternatives Considered

I use Proconnect Tax Online for individual returns, as mentioned. The software is not as user-friendly and not efficient for a professional tax preparer to use. I use other tax software as my primary software for that reason. I use Proconnect Tax Online only when my primary software does not have a form, and I do not feel like manually preparing the form and attaching it to the return.

Support Rating

The support is, excellent and Intuit overall provides good support. Their customer service representatives are friendly and always assist with issues when needed. There are multiple ways to contact the support team. I have not sued them though very much for technical tax issues and primarily the customer service team when needed.

Proconnect Tax online is suitable for certain situations where I have a return that needs to be prepared, and the software I am using does not support the form. The software is not suitable for Consolidated corporate returns or complex returns. Due to the difficulty in finding where to enter certain information and the feel of the software, it is not efficient to use for the preparation of a volume of returns.
