Proofpoint Email Protection is provided by us as a shared service for our clients who do not want to operate a dedicated email gateway.
- System runs fast and stable.
- The upgrade process is running very good without major issues.
- The reporting system is very simple and needs improvement for business cases and investigation of incidents.
- The log viewer section needs improvement regarding handling.
- You will get your ROI, if you resell the system as a service.
It was only possible to select "Ironport Web Security Appliance" but this has nothing to do with emailing. Actually, we are using Cisco Ironport Email Security in another environment. The administration and management of Proofpoint Email Protection is way more straightforward and easier to understand. Regarding the performance of similar applications of Ironport and Proofpoint I can state that Proofpoint PPS is performing better.
