Overall Satisfaction with Publer

I'm the owner of an optical store with two different brand names. Vingerhoets-Optics which focuses on adults and also a store called Timbel which is focused on children younger than 12 years old. I have to manage 9 different social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Google Maps business for the 2 brands. With Publer it is very easy to plan and post on every platform. I really struggled with consistently being active on social media, but now with Publer this is much easier. One app to post on all those platforms with a nice calendar.

What especially sets Publer apart from its competitors for a local retailer is the integration with Google Maps. It is easy to post to that (often forgotten) platform.

Pros

  • Google Maps integration

Cons

  • Ideal posting times are only available on the most expensive business plan
  • Posting different pictures in 1 story has to be done 1 by 1 (or I can't seem to find it)
  • Dutch translation
  • Increased the amount of content we post without hiring extra help
  • More booking of appointments through the Google Maps integration
  • Improved brand consistency and campaign execution
The interface is very clear and logic. I'm a small business owner and I was able to easily find everything. You can download it and immediately start with planning your posts for every platform without having to look for documentation. In the time I've been using it, I only had trouble with 1 feature I couldn't find and when asking support I was answered within a very short period of time with the solution.
The reason I chose Publer above Buffer and Later Social is the integration of Google Maps business. Either there was no integration with it, or it was much more expensive to have it. Now I have 10 social media accounts connected and I'm more active than ever on our socials.

Where Publer is well suited:
+ Organisation of multiple social media accounts for when you have multiple brands
+ The integration of Google Maps makes it easy to organise multiple locations
+ Calendar with a nice overview makes it easy to see your social media planning for the following period of time

Where it is less suited for:
- Comparing competition and ideal posting time is quite a surplus in cost
- No native Dutch version
