Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

Qlik Sense is mainly used in my department where we use it to analyse and report on complex datasets. For example, where data from multiple line of business systems needs to be stitched together to see the full story. As a specific example, we have used QS to generate the Groups Gender Pay Gap reporting requirements.
  • Visualize complex relationships
  • Provide intuitive UX
  • Allow dynamic querying of data
  • Certain chart types that QlikView users would be familiar with are not (yet) available in QS.
  • Changing the size of charts to any size.
  • Allowing charts to be displayed behind other charts.
  • None, unfortunately.
Qlik Sense has a more modern GUI, but as a hard and fast user of QlikView, I still prefer using QV to QS.
QS is best suited to visual, dynamic analysis where time to report is a significant factor. Particularly useful for graphical or map-based reporting. If you need static, tabular or text-based reports (e.g. traditional finance reports) then less well suited unless you also purchase the printing extension which will deliver similar outputs.
