Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense
Although other Solvay sites use it for other purposes, my group is using Qlik Sense as an easy means to sort through data stored in multiple Excel spreadsheets as a kind of relational database. We needed something flexible that could adapt to frequent changes in the spreadsheets.
- Easy to link different data sources.
- Easy to associate the various data sources with key fields
- Qlik Sense does not always update the data sources. I frequently have to start from scratch and re-load the files, re-associate them, and re-create the sheets.
- Qlik Sense has not been very useful. It would be nice to have a way to guide it and give it some parameters.
- Hard to quantify but the old way of sorting through the data took days. Now it takes about 30-60 minutes.
Metbase, Sisense, Tableau were either evaluated or investigated. Metabase did not accomplish any of our goals and Sisense and Tableau were too expensive and potentially overkill for our application.
