Overall Satisfaction with QT9 QMS

I am the Quality Assurance Specialist and I use QT9 QMS in an Administrator roll for our Manufacturing facility

Pros

  • Tracks document reviews well.
  • Makes creating NCP's and CARs easier than paper.
  • Tracks and maintains calibration records well.

Cons

  • There could be a little more clarity in using the report function. Tends to be a little clunky at times.
  • Access to be able to create your own areas on NCPs and CARs. Some manual onsite coding to form the information that would most benefit your company.
  • Bring back dropdowns to be able to select key types along with the enter function.
  • Provides more clarity on repeat occurrences
  • We can track the amount of rework time needed to repair or correct issues.
  • Not sure about the financial or ROI
Maneuvering through the system is relatively easy. Having the selection to the side provided opportunity to jump to wherever you need to go to look for what you need. Having the to do list at the top of the screen also helps to keep the user informed on the work that is awaiting their attention.

Document tracking and calibration works well. If asked about a system that would keep tabs on all documents in a quality system. I would recommend QT9 QMS as it does keep track of the documents and review dates well and sends the responsible party an email to notify that it is time to review.

Using QT9 QMS

There are many within this organization. We have welders, supply chain and many more. Our QT9 QMS helps drive all the areas of the company.
The only two people within the company that are administrators of QT9 QMS. QT9 QMS is managed by the Quality department and has been very useful for the quality system

Everything is on one database and there is no traveling between different folders of SharePoint.

I had online training which was wonderful. The training was open and inviting to ask questions. I came on just after QT9 QMS was accepted in the company. SO I was in almost at the ground floor.
Training was open and was able to ask any questions. This provided clarity in all the areas that I would use. There has been training readily offered by the QT9 company and provided opportunities to grow our understanding of the software and additional ways that we could utilize it.
In the areas that we had no training in, the help manual was very useful and easy to read. This manual provided a clear step by step of each section and any subsection under that topic. For example, currently I am learning about the training tracking tab within the system. This would be very useful for tracking any new hires and weld certifications.

Configuring QT9 QMS

There is a lot that we can conform to how we would like to handle topics. I do wish that there was more flexibility with some of the areas. It would be useful to have a little more control.
I always tell people to configure the columns on each screen in the best way to provide a quick glance for them in their position. This would make the use of the system faster for each user.
Yes - we have customized the interface extensively - The customization of each section is very user friendly and important to do. This functionality provides an easy to use setup for a quick glance.
Yes - we have added extensive custom code - Being able to have functionality control under the global setting was rather easy. Training was very helpful in this area as it taught us how to set up UDFs appropriately.
Set up your UDF's to what works best for the company.

QT9 QMS Support

The usability and clarity of documentation and tracking is fantastic. Calibration is always open and trackable as well.

QT9 QMS Reliability

We have sites in many different areas within and outside of our current state. The use of QT9 QMS allows all sites to be in one database so everyone has the same information. The rollout of the software was rather easy as online training could be used for all sites and provided an excellent tool for all areas.
QT9 QMS has always been available. Even in instances where there would be an update, notifications would be sent out to provide a heads up to the users. Any issues where QT9 QMS would have problems, glitches, or run slow, support was always available to take care of the issues.
I give it a 10 as the information is always readily available. As for speed, For the most part, loading of the sometimes takes a little longer than others. There are occasional times that it does run a little slow, but when that happens, the support team has always been there to help.

Integrating QT9 QMS

This software was easy to integrate within the organization. There have been many people to train. Fortunately the training was very user friendly and provided transparency for the use of the system for each individual. As far as integrating other software within this system, we had no other software before this aside from SharePoint.
The only other software that we use in conjunction with this is SharePoint. We have migrated many things from SharePoint into QT9 QMS for better clarity and tracking.

I have used import/export. This was easy with the use of the spreadsheet that provided a way to do a lump sum of information at once.
Get all your ducks in a row and fill out as much as possible with the information that is current and relevant. This provides a way to streamline any active documents.

Relationship with QT9 Software

Working with the systems individuals has been very easy. They are always available to help and answer questions when we have them.
not sure if this is something other than the professionalism of the individuals that I worked with, but the people were Very professional. Always able to answer questions and if they did not have answers they would find out what they are and then follow up.

Upgrading QT9 QMS

Yes - Yes the release of any new upgrades have gone smooth. We were always aware when they would be done. If we had any issues, we always reached out to address them and the would correct or research to correct for future updates.
