Overall Satisfaction with QT9 QMS

Our company uses QT9 QMS for document management and various engineering and quality systems coordination. We have a tiered engineering change approval process. This tool was a major improvement for us. Previously we did not have a computer based system. Through QT9 QMS we can share notes and record our approvals. Also, our employees are able to pull up the most recent approved documents to insure we're all working with the same information.

Pros

  • We store current documents
  • We record nonconforming products and resolution
  • We manage our vendor quality/SCAR process

Cons

  • Better graphics/visually appealing and easier to navigate
  • It would be nice to have a chat feature
  • The interface with our vendors/customers isn't always smooth.
  • We have cleaned up our Engineering Change Process
  • Projects move faster and more efficiently.
  • The number of open SCARs has been reduced.
The system is easy to navigate. Internally, we are able to send notes and track progress. Once people started utilizing the tools they were very easy to understand. It is very easy for the owners of certain functions (Quality, Purchasing, Engineering) to assess the status of various projects. Setting tasks is easy to do in this system.
We have not used any other systems Prior to QT9 QMS our systems were all manual and down through excel and email.

Do you think QT9 QMS delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with QT9 QMS's feature set?

Yes

Did QT9 QMS live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of QT9 QMS go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy QT9 QMS again?

Yes

This tool has been very helpful with our Engineering Change Request process. Engineers can reference where their current projects are and know who they need to follow up with for approval. We also assign tasks in the system and can see who has overdue tasks.

One area that I think could be improved is how the tool engages our vendors for corrective actions. We have to train vendors on how to use the system which can make it more time consuming.
