Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use QuickBooks for Mac to manage finances for 3 companies and for my personal finances. It is my one-stop for all things financial across multiple companies and allows for quick and easy bookkeeping and accounting.

Pros and Cons

Syncs with my financial institutions
Runs seamlessly on my Mac systems
Keeps all of my financial information in one easy space
Makes Tax season a breeze

QB for Mac is not nearly as feature rich as the Windows Version
QB for Mac has recently FORCED users to password protect all databases. They SHOULD allow a preference to disable rather than imposing their workflow on the end user. The PW is in my environment [and this step is] unnecessary and a cumbersome waste of time.
Mac version can occasionally be a bit buggy

Return on Investment

I have been using QB for so long that it is for me a quick and easy process and I don't think twice about hoping in and out many times a day
With the ability to sync with financial institutions and credit card providers the automation reduces my workload SIGNIFICANTLY

Alternatives Considered

I have not evaluated anything for many years as QB satisfies my needs and is second nature to my workflow.

Likelihood to Recommend

I still feel it is one of the best Mac based bookkeeping products on the market. It may be overkill for personal finances but if you are familiar with using it in business, then using it for personal purposes is a breeze.
