Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop for Mac

We use QuickBooks mainly in our administrative department for effective data storage, organization, and preparation. What we find most useful is its ability to prepare our accounting information for import to Turbo Tax. This streamlines our whole operation and makes every April a pleasure rather than a pain! While accounting can often be troublesome, QuickBooks makes everything more efficient.

Pros

  • Great for exporting tax information.
  • Quality data storage and management.

Cons

  • Useful mainly only for intuit products.
  • Often slow and becomes clogged if data amount is too much.
  • Integration across the company is not ideal.
  • It has streamlined and vastly improved our tax filing.
  • Made our data management and order filing a more efficient process.
  • Allowed us to better understand monetary flow and use within our organization.
QuickBooks for Mac definitely outshines other competitors mainly due to its ability to sync seamlessly with all mac products, which other programs have continual problems with. Although the Mac version isn't quite as powerful as the Microsoft counterpart, it is still one of the best programs out there and will not disappoint.

QuickBooks excels at managing accounting data, especially for use in tax preparation, exportation, and importation into TurboTax. It is almost like having another accountant in the office! One area where it is not quite as useful is when multiple users across a company are trying to access it. This process becomes difficult and clunky.
