Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift

We run Openshift on-prem and in Azure as the cloud-native platform for application modernization.

Pros

  • Automation that enables CI/CD.
  • Application containerization.
  • Container orchestration.

Cons

  • Audit
  • Fine-grained access control.
  • Enable us to move to public cloud with a reasonable effort.
  • Leverage the existing knowledge of the developers as well as the operation team.
It enabled us to modernize both application development and application deployment.

Good for running stateless microservices. We had issues running stateful services such as databases and Elastic search.
