We use Red Hat OpenShift to provide a full-service platform for government ministries to deploy their workloads on.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Easy multicluster management using hypershift
complete ecosystem with acs, acm, monitoring and logging
good support gives customers confidence in the platform

Cons

RWX support for ODF internal mode
leave ibm

Return on Investment

ACS in combination with OpenShift was relatively easy to set up and has provided a great boost to security and trust in the platform
Outages and downtime are usually easy to fix leading to higher uptimes and less operator frustration

Infrastructure

We exclusively use OpenShift on-premises

It's a full service platform that provides a lot of edge services, automation, monitoring, logging, etc. That also makes it quite a large and heavy to run platform if you only need the basics
