Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift
We’re using it for Virtualization, Clusters,-and Containers management. We primarily looked at it to look diversify our tech stack and improve automation capabilities.
Pros
- Application deployment within the UI
- Provides ease by generating yamls for the resources we make.
- Integrated well with our CI/CD pipeline.
Cons
- Virtualization may need to improve vm migration from node to node. We’ve had issues with that and ping drops.
- OpenShift is in POC so we haven’t implemented in production to see the full ROI
As it stands it’s primarily being used by Administrators. We haven’t had the chance to have their input.
We’re in the POC stage and are trying to leverage it as a platform for our AI workloads.
It was microsoft hypervisor and vmware.
