Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our school district purchased the program to use within the classroom. We use it to access their understanding of the standards. I know elementary school use it a lot. It's not mandated by the district. We do STAR test quarterly to monitor growth. We do put a lot of our focus on their quarterly growth during data meetings.

Pros and Cons

Great progress monitoring with actual work
Challenges the students to independent growth

I would like to see the standards were set up in order
I am never sure of what standards I want to include in set up
iReady is taking over assessment, but I think we will always include AM STAR progress monitoring

Alternatives Considered

Renaissance Accelerated Reader

It's the same program. This survey is very long! I use both programs in my room. Both are very reliable and helps me keep the students on track. The kids seem to love the challenge of bubbling and getting their scores right away! I can't see AR or AM going any where.

Likelihood to Recommend

I have had moments of needing work that focused on certain standards. I am able to print out work from my printer in my room. The variety of questions per standard need to have more rigor. I would like to see printing that could include more on a page yet big enough for them to work them out on the paper.
