Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use RingEX across our whole company to communicate with each other and to communicate with our clients and partners. It gives us the ability to communicate via phone call, messaging, and voice conferencing.

Pros and Cons

Pros

All inclusive communication for all members.
The ability to send PDFs, GIFs, and files within the messaging app along with the ability to create tasks within a group.
Recording of all phone communications.
Accessible via a phone app to get forwarded calls directly to your cell phone.

Cons

Frequent glitches.
A lot of down-time required for updates.
Missed calls because the phone won't ring.

Return on Investment

Easier communication with employees.
Easier follow up on tasks/projects with the email reminders as well as the 'create a task' function.
Call recording aids in our QA of the client experience.

Alternatives Considered

Google Hangouts

RingEX has more functions than Google Hangouts had, which has benefitted our employees significantly. The updates and downtime are more frequent than what we experienced with Google Hangouts, but the functions available in RingEX outweighs that aspect.

RingEX is great for a mid-sized company because it has a variety of ways you can communicate with each other. It supports the culture-aspect of the business by having a GIF function that makes the communication more enjoyable. Along with that, the functions support employee needs and client needs. I could see big-businesses having a problem with it because of the glitches/down-time where it could be a problem if they were without coverage for a while.
