Overall Satisfaction with Riverbed Steelhead

We have Riverbed Steelhead deployed across our global organization. We use it to optimize traffic, which allows us to use lower MPLS bandwidth than otherwise needed, saving us thousands of dollars. We also use it to analyze traffic flows.

  • A reduction in price is always welcomed
  • Simplify and streamline advanced features and add-on pieces for more detailed traffic analysis
  • Getting granularity into traffic behavior becomes confusing and very expensive
  • We have been able to keep our MPLS expenses to a minimum
  • The ease of management and deployment keeps our IT personnel costs down
Riverbed Steelhead offers simplicity and fantastic customer support. The performance is a cut above the others as well.
Riverbed Steelhead significantly helps with bandwidth optimization for Microsoft file sharing and Microsoft Exchange. If these services are centralized, Riverbed Steelhead makes sense. Less suitable areas where I might not implement Riverbed Steelhead would include SAP and Web based optimization/bandwidth reduction.
