Overall Satisfaction with SailPoint Identity Platform

We use SailPoint's platform for the employee lifecycle, join, move, certify and leave, as well as self-service for access and password management. This helps to drive the least privileged access, the speed of access provisioning is increased, and avoid helpdesk calls.

Pros

Cons

  • Workflow can be overly complex
  • Support for n and n-1 operating systems and target applications even though the vendor still supports the older versions (n-2 and earlier).
  • Metrics and reporting are rudimentary at best
  • Automated provisioning accounts and access via birthright
  • Certifications on a periodic basis or during a mover process
  • Account and access management
  • Over 300,000 password change/reset calls avoided to the helpdesk annually.
  • 1,000 plus accounts with proper accesses provisioned via automated birthright processes weekly versus 1-2 days of manual provisioning and approvals. With a call center population that churns many people per week, this brings many dollars of efficiency to the operations teams.
  • Flexibility on terminations to manage accounts and access for target applications based on regulatory or business rules to ensure compliance and avoid fines for non-compliance.
SailPoint and Oracle were selected for the RFP from a field of over 10 companies. SailPoint was much more mature and stable during our evaluation in 2015 and continues to lead the pack. We're confident we made the correct decision and work closely with our success team at SailPoint for issues or questions that arise.

Customer support is top-notch. The product, out of the box, works very well - do not customize it. Certifications are very flexible. The user interface is well comprehended for all experience levels of users.
