Overall Satisfaction with Sales Performance Management solutions from SAP SuccessFactors

We use Sales Performance Managemeny (SPM) to calculate biweekly and monthly bonuses for our Cross Functional stores, as well as Store and Sales Manager bonuses for all of our retail stores. This is used for payroll calculation and for reporting for all associates and their managers in those plans, for performance and pay management.

It is very easy to build rules on the fly. It isn't perfect because it isn't a malleable back-end data model, but within its constraints, building rules is simple, straight forward, and very potent. We looked at more malleable models, but those would involve much more involvement from Technology. Conceding to a more fixed model has allowed Technology to cede control of rule building and maintenance to the business.
Because Technology is not as resource-laden with rule building, report building and maintenance, it is able to focus on more efficiently building connections to other data sources, to bring in that information for more complicated plans.
For the field, robust reporting gives managers the tools they need to coach in the moment, and ensure their associates can be successful.
It is quite simple to maintain on a daily basis. Prior to using SAP, our daily processes could take all day to run, with manual intervention along the way. We have built automated pipelines that run very smoothly, and are also resilient and performant, allowing for mush less frequent intervention, and verbose logging.
