Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce Sales Cloud
We utilize the Salesforce Sales Cloud to manage our sales pipeline including tracking new calls scheduled, held, converted to proposal, then to contract and closed/won. This enables us to see our pipeline, build forecasts, manage performance and draw insights into what our reps are seeing and hearing from prospects. We also manage the full contract lifecycle within the system from contract creation, review/approval, sending for signature and storing/sharing with the execution teams. Product and pricing are also managed within the system allowing us to create bundles or packaged programs for ease of use and speed with the sales team.
Pros
- Full revenue cycle tracking, from prospect to client and beyond
- Pipeline management and forecasting per team, per rep, historical
- Reporting and analytics drawn from data within the system; NOTE data in is data out so you have to have a clear plan and global commitment to data integrity.
Cons
- Highly customizable so you need to have dedicated and highly skilled admin support to make it work best for you, or the budget to enlist outside integration support to maximize use. It isn't right for all business sizes and what works when your one size will likely not work when you grow, so growth plans must be connected to your use case.
- Reporting customization is sufficient but can be challenging to get the exact reporting you need from within the system; often requires addition BI tools.
- Increased revenue over time
- Automation to support sales team effectiveness
- Daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting along with prior period comparison to draw actionable insights
Keap, formerly Infusionsoft, has a lot of similar core functionality but is geared much more towards small businesses and cannot compare to the integration and partner community that Salesforce Sales Cloud has. We migrated to Salesforce Sales Cloud at our original period of planned growth knowing it would take time to realize the ROI and honestly, knowing that you will never fully realize functionality and impact as the system evolves and continues to grow itself (that's a good thing if you ask me!).
