Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce Sales Cloud

Salesforce Sales Cloud is the backbone of the Sales operations and has been so for the past decade. Historically it was used as a classical CRM feature to log and track customer accounts, which has now grown into becoming the one source of truth for the entire lead and sales cycle, ultimately also becoming the one stop hub for Customer Success and invoicing to conduct their work as well.

Cons

  • Particularly on the admin side of things, the default settings can be hard to understand unless someone works full time with Salesforce as an admin
  • UI can be improved in lightning experience
  • The pipeline function should be easier to use as a default

It really prides itself on this function, and it should really. The overview is great and chatter is particularly useful. Salesforce Sales Cloud really stands out with its flow functions here as it has the ability to automate an absolute majority of otherwise manual tasks, and thus far, no competitor is nowhere remotely as powerful here. Still, and as mentioned previously, should you not have the internal resources to manage e.g. flows, it can be a bit overwhelming.
Salesforce Sales Cloud is by far the most powerful platform overall, because it can spearhead an entire organizations worth of data into one single source of truth, particular if connected well. But, in simple terms, it's just the most powerful sales enablement tool out there. It should be noted though that Hubspot is closing in. Upsales is a local player with strong presence in the nordics, but not close to Salesforce. ActiveCampaign's crm feature is lacking.

Let's be very clear, Salesforce is THE sales enablement tool out there, there is absolutely no question about it. However, they are facing tough competition out there as other niche CRM systems are closing in thanks to simplified UI and quite frankly, almost equally as powerful sales enablement features. Salesforce is THE tool for you, if you are of the size and have the resources to manage it properly.
